Lucy attended the ASCO Annual Scientific Meeting in Chicago, and presented the The WinPro trial: A window of opportunity study of endocrine therapy with and without prometrium in postmenopausal women with early stage hormone receptor-positive breast cancer. As part of her PhD, Lucy is now using spatial transcriptomics technolgoies to analyse samples from the WinPro trial to uncover new mechanistic insights in HR+ breast cancer.

While overseas, Dr Haggstrom also completed a placement at Cancer Research United Kingdom Cambridge Institute in Professor Jason Carroll's lab, studying the effects of progestogens on hormone receptor positive breast cancer. She aslo presetnted the results of the WinPro trial at the Gordon Research Seminar and Conference for Hormone Dependent Cancers.
